Trick or Treats

I meant to blog this last week but time got away from me. These will be for Grace's classroom Halloween Party. I used candy corn and new candy corn white chocolate m&ms to fill the Stampin' Up! skinny cello bags.

Gearing up for the Holidays!

I was able to create several projects this week on Friday & Saturday. I enjoy having Fridays off from work to run errands, hang out with Ruby and of course to stamp! Ruby sits with me at the table and makes her own cards, or projects as she calls them. I will have to take a picture of her and her projects next week.

I created a suite of Halloween and of Christmas projects. I am hoping to pull together a class soon and wanted to have samples on hand. Hope you enjoy! If you are in my area and want to host a workshop this is a great time of year to gather with friends and get a jump start on creating your holiday cards!

This first grouping of projects features 2 cards and a treat holder for Halloween.

Cardstock - Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Brushed Silver, Pick Your Poison DSP
Inks - Basis Black, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry
Stamp Sets - Out On A Limb, Batty For You, Netting

Once I was finished working on Halloween, it was time for Christmas! I created some Thanksgiving cards a couple of weeks ago and I don't usually send them out, so was anxious to move straight to Christmas!

Cardstock - Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Holly Berry Bouquet DSP
Inks - Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets -Pines & Poinsettias, Stitched Stockings

Holiday Mini Catalog is here!

The Stampin UP! Holiday Mini is here! You can access the online catalog with the link above. I have ordered several items and will be posting samples as soon as my box from Mr. UPS arrives!

I did have a chance to create a card today for my daughter's friend who turned 13 and celebrated her Bat Mitzvah. I used one of my favorite birthday sest, Crazy for Cupcakes and some retired Designer Series Paper that I found in my scrap box.

Happy Stamping!

Turkey Time!

I have been working on creating Christmas cards to tuck away until December, but decided to make a couple of Thanksgiving turkey cards to get a jump on the feast filled day in November!

Christmas in August

The kids are back to school, and now time will really fly! Before we know it we will be getting ready for the holidays. I created a few of these cards to tuck away to get a head start for the busy months to come. The design was inspired by the card on page 40 from the Stampin' UP 2011-12 Idea Book & Catalog.

Happy Stamping!

Vintage Vogue Friends

Happy Back to School Week! I had some time to create a couple of Vintage Vogue cards last weekend but haven't a chance to blog as I have been tied up with shopping and errands to get the girls ready for this new school year. Emma is starting 7th grade, Grace 3rd and even little Ruby is heading to preschool 2 mornings a week.

Both cards use the same stamp sets, Vintage Vogue & Netting and the same color combination of Lucky Limeade, Dafodil Delight, Island Indigo and Whisper White. I used a little bit of Chocolate Chip Polka Scallop Ribbon and a couple of brads on the first card. The 2nd card used up my scraps from the first card. I added some sponged ink to distress the edges. Happy Stamping!

Happy Stamp-ur-day!

I was able to create 2 cards on Friday after the girls and I spent most of the day running errands. We are busy wrapping up summer with Dr. check-ups, school supply & clothes shopping and of coursed our weekly trip to Hy-Vee. I split my grocery shopping between 2 stores to take advantage of my $5 off of $50 purchase coupons. The more I can save on food...I can spend on stamps!

This fun ice cream card was inspired by a card I saw online at www.splitcoaststampers.com. I used punches to create the orange popsicle and the fudge bar and the retired stamp set Sweet Scoops.

This card features some new Designer Series Paper, Berry Blossoms. August is a great month to stock up on DSP, because it's Buy 3, get 1 FREE!!! I also used the stamp set, Flight of the Butterfly. I used Calypso Coral ,Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso inks & cardstock to complete the card.
